Handwriting is an essential tool for communication. To promote good handwriting among our tiny tots a handwriting competition was conducted for the UKG students of Amrita Nursery. All students were encouraged to perform their best. The competition was organized in the respective classrooms. Teachers displayed sentences on the smart board and instructed students to write within lines and leave required space between two words. Majority of the students put their efforts to enhance their writing skills; their peers were also motivated after seeing their neat and tidy handwriting. The hand writing was judged on the basis of neatness, formation, space and clarity criteria. Three best handwritings were selected from each section and were awarded with certificates.
