Bird Feeding
Students of classes 1 and 2 are taken to the lawn to feed and provide water for the birds. They have a great time watching the birds pecking the grains they give them with their little hands.
Tree Plantation Drive
If we have not done any selfless acts, we should plant a tree or sapling, which would be a truly selfless deed, benefiting others and ourselves. – AMMA. The World Environment Day celebrations following trees plantation, was organized by Amrita Vidyalayam students jointly with devotees .
A handful of Rice and Pulses & a heart full of Love
With Amma’s infinite grace, we at Amrita Vidyalayam, Ahmedabad started the AMRITAM PROJECT on an auspicious Thursday morning. With Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam playing in the background, all the students, right from the tiny-tots to class XII contributed handfuls of rice and pulses with their hearts full of love, reviving the lost tradition of ‘Annadanam’.
Annadanam
As the academic year has ended and the students are on vacation, the teachers of our school decided to donate the left-over stock of rice and moong dal brought by students for the Amritam Project, to the needy.When we reached the place, we saw the children seated on a mat on the ground in a very disciplined manner. The scene was very touching.
Amala Bharatam
As a part of Amala Bharatam campaign, teachers and students of class IX cleaned the school playground. Students also shouted slogans and sang out social messages around the neighbourhood. This was done in order to spread the social message of ‘Clean India’.
Temple Bhajans
Temple bhajans were sung at ISKON Temple, Ahmedabad. Our students sang soulful bhajans and chanted shlokas at the temple. One of our students said a Katha on the deity of the temple.
